For Historians: Living Outdoor Museum!

Railroad signage is gradually becoming obsolete as service is changing, but Birmingham is one of the ‘railroad’ cities in the United States with the “old-fashioned” fixed signs, called semaphores, still in use!  We believe that Birmingham’s Railroad Corridor could become an OUTDOOR LIVING MUSEUM as the repository of historic railway images and signage continuously used for directional information as well as themed decoration in our STOP LOOK LISTEN concept.  Here’s a slideshow below of objects/signage that might be considered and historical information is available HERE:
